The Singapore Registry of Ships (SRS) will be introducing voluntary SRS Notations on 01 November 2021.
The SRS Notations seek to encourage ship owners, operators and managers to adopt new solutions and enable vessels to become more environmentally friendly, operationally efficient, cyber resilient as well as to enhance the well-being of seafarers on board Singapore ships.
There are four categories of notations namely, “Green”, “Cyber”, “Smart” and “Welfare”. Upon succesful review of applications received, Singapore ships that qualify will be awarded with the applicable notation(s) and issued with a Certificate of Recognition. The details of the four categories of notations, awarding criteria, application form and checklists can be found at the MPA website [https://www.mpa.gov.sg/web/portal/home/singapore-registry-of-ships/about-srs-and-what-new/srs-notation].
Applications starts from 01 November 2021. Shipowner, operators and managers applying for the SRS Notations should complete and send the application form, checklists and relevant supporting documents to [email protected].
