Due repair/replacement work being carried out at Mumbai’s SCB Berth, night movements have been suspended.
During an inspection, it was observed that some of the key components of the SCB Berth fenders urgently need to be repaired and replaced to enable safe tanker berthing.
As there is a heavy rush of tankers for SCB Berth, and to avoid further damage to the fenders or vessels, vessels will only be able to berth/unberth at SCB Berth during the day. There will be no night berthing/unberthing until the repairs or replacement is completed.
