New weekend from 1 January 2022 for Dubai Ports

Following the UAE Government’s announcement to switch weekends to Saturday and Sunday with a 4.5-day work week, starting from 1 January 2022, the weekend will officially change to Saturday and Sunday, with 4.5 hours of work on Friday (from 7:30 am until 12 pm). The working hours from Monday to Thursday remain unchanged. In compliance with this, please note the below changes:

• Administration office hours:

o Monday to Thursday: 07:30 hours to 15:30 hours

o Friday: 07:30 hours to 12:00 hours

• Normal working hours at General Cargo and Logistics:

Normal working hours from Sunday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays and Saturday):

07:00-12:00 / 13:00-16:00

• Overtime hours:

Overtime will be applicable on Saturday instead of Friday. As stated above, Friday will be considered a

normal working day.

• Vessel Berthing / Unberthing Charges:

Double berthing / unberthing and warping charges will be applicable on Saturday instead of Friday.

This also applies to Jebel Ali and Port Rashid.
