New industrial action announced

Qube Ports have received further notice of Protected Industrial Action for the Port of Darwin.

The following restrictions will be in place for 7 days from 0001 hours on Friday 18 October:

  1. 8-hour stoppage from when the vessel ties up at the berth.
  2. Only 8-hour shifts to be worked.
  3. Work to only commence at 0700, 1500 and 2300.
  4. No shift extensions.
  5. A ban on performance of shift pre-starts.
  6. Once the start time is ordered, no variation to that start time will be accepted.
  7. No call-ins outside of allocated shifts.
  8. One-hour stoppage of work, every day commencing at 0600.
  9. No loading or unloading of any trucks displaying a Qube business logo.
  10. 1-hour stoppage each day at 0230, 1030, 1830 from 0230 Saturday 19 October 2024. Ending at 1930 Friday 25 October. (New)
  11. 4-hour stoppage commencing 0700 Friday 18 October. (New)
  12. 8-hour stoppage commencing 1100 Friday 18 October. (New)
  13. 12-hour stoppage commencing 1900 Friday 18 October. (New)
  14. 24-hour stoppage commencing 0700 Saturday 19 October. (New)
