New import and export tariffs

A new charge will be applied by port authorities in Togo based on UEMOA regulation (West African Economic and Monetary Union).

All goods, products charged or discharged in the port are subject to the payment of maritime traffic taxes established by the regulation 003/2019/COM/UEMOA. The National Shippers Authority of Togo (CNCT) will apply this tax to petroleum products such as JET A1 and fuel oil starting from 1 June 2021 date of arrival of vessel in Lomé Port.

The tariffs are as follows:

1000 FCFA or EUR 1.53 per tonne for imports

800 FCFA or EUR 1.22 per tonne for exports
