Multi-boat race off Tsuen Wan Waterfront Promenade

A multi-boat racing event will take place off Tsuen Wan Waterfront Promenade from 0800 to 1800 hours on 3 September 2023 (Sunday).

About 250 boats (including scout standard boats, dragon boats, canoes and standup-paddleboard) are expected to participate in the race.

During the aforementioned period, a race area will be formed by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D)and the adjacent shorelines:
(A) 22° 22.180’N 114° 06.480’E
(B) 22° 22.142’N 114° 06.440’E
(C) 22° 22.281’N 114° 06.292’E
(D) 22° 22.320’N 114° 06.335’E

Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of all vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the race area.

Besides, the landing steps of Tsuen Wan Area 2 Landing No. 1 will be temporarily closed from 0800 hours on 1 September 2023 to 1800 hours on 3 September 2023. Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing facilities in the vicinity during the period of closure.
