Marine Works at Discovery Bay Marina Club

For approximately 5 months, marine works involving pontoon installation works will be carried out in the area bounded by straight lines joining the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (0):

(A) 22 deg. 17.639'N / 114 deg. 01.519'E

(B) 22 deg. 17.635'N / 114 deg. 01.525'E

(C) 22 deg. 17.633'N / 114 deg. 01.530'E

(D) 22 deg. 17.633'N / 114 deg. 01.534'E

(E) 22 deg. 17.632'N / 114 deg. 01.563'E

(F) 22 deg. 17.505'N / 114 deg. 01.655'E

(G) 22 deg. 17.467'N / 114 deg. 01.632'E

(H) 22 deg. 17.491 'N / 114 deg. 01.479'E

(I) 22 deg. 17.501'N / 114 deg. 01.488'E

(J) 22 deg. 17.515'N / 114 deg. 01.512'E

(K) 22 deg.17.520'N / 114 deg. 01.547'E

(L) 22 deg. 17.533'N / 114 deg. 01.577'E

(M) 22 deg. 17.563'N / 114 deg. 01.565'E

(N) 22 deg. 17.593'N / 114 deg. 01.553'E

(0) 22 deg. 17.618'N / 114 deg. 01.534'E

Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid at co-ordinates (A), (H), (I), (J), (K), (L), (M), (N) and (0) to mark the boundary of the works area.

The works will be carried out by one derrick lighter. One tugboat, one work boat and one cargo vessel will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around the derrick lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the lighter.

The hours of work will be from 0800 hours to 1800 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

This Notice supersedes Marine Department Notice No. 188/2019.
