Marine soil investigation off Jurong Terminal

From today (5 October) to 31 December, marine soil investigation works are being conducted t Jurong Terminal, Berth J9.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.065 of 2020 dated 2 October 2020, the works are being carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - at the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
J9-M1) 1° 18.355'N / 103° 43.118'E
J9-M2) 1° 18.337'N / 103° 43.139'E
J9-M3) 1° 18.320'N / 103° 43.160'E
J9-M4) 1° 18.303'N / 103° 43.180'E

A jack-up barge and tug boat are being used to carry out the marine soil investigation work.

A safety boat are deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other vessels of the work.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control for assistance, if required.
