Marine soil investigation in East Keppel Fairway

Until 30 November, marine soil investigation work is being conducted in the vicinity of East Keppel Fairway, at the following borehole co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

BH5) 01°14·896'N / 103°51·491'E (from 28 October to 28 November)
BH6) 01°14·761'N / 103°51·566'E (from 28 October to 28 November)

The working hours will be 24 Hours daily including Sundays and Public Holidays.

The soil investigation work will be carried out by a jack-up barge assisted by tug boats. The safety zone is a circular area of 30m radius centered at the barges.

Safety boats will be in attendance to warn and direct vessels in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
e) Communicate with East Control on VHF Channel 12 for assistance, if required.
