Marine soil investigation at Changi East

From 1 to 9 August, marine soil investigation will be conducted at Changi East.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.67 of 2024, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays and Public Holidays – at the following borehole location co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
BH6a 01°18.542'N / 104°00.590'E.

The soil investigation work will be carried out by spud / jack-up barges assisted by tug boats. The safety zone is a circular area of 30m radius centered at the barges.

A safety boat will be in attendance to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
e) Communicate with East Control on VHF Channel 12 for assistance, if required.
