Marine construction works off Tanjong Kling

The working period for marine construction works off Tanjong Kling has been extended and the work will now continue until 9 October.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.42 of 2025, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays and Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°18.251”N / 103°42.085”E
2) 01°18.053’'N / 103°42.093”E
3) 01°18.065”N / 103°42.370”E
4) 01°18.033”N / 103°42.370”E
5) 01°18.040”N / 103°42.593”E
6) 01°18.410”N / 103°42.582”E
7) 01°18.412”N / 103°42.618”E
8) 01°18.487”N / 103°42.617”E

Construction work involves dredging of seabed, transport and discharging of dredged material at allocated area, removal of cofferdam, sand pumping and reinstatement of foreshore structures.

The marine works are being carried out using work barges with the assistance of tugboats.

A safety boat is deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control); and Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
