Marine archaeological survey off Sham Shui Kok, Lantau Island

For approximately one month, marine archaeological survey will be carried out in the following locations (WGS 84 Datum):
(A) 22° 19.254’N 113° 59.909’E
(B) 22° 19.297’N 114° 00.129’E
(C) 22° 19.399’N 114° 00.283’E
(D) 22° 19.395’N 114° 00.295’E
(E) 22° 19.421’N 114° 00.315’E

The works will be carried out by one work boat. A working area of approximately 50 metres around the work boat will be established. The vessel engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1800 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. The vessel employed for the works will not stay in the survey locations outside the hours of work.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the survey locations at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the locations.
