Maintenance works of floating sea barriers off Sentosa

Maintenance works are being carried out on floating sea barriers off Sentosa until 17 September.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.75 of 2023, the works are being conducted 24 hours daily, including Sundays and public holidays, at the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1 01° 14.351'N / 103° 49.742'E
2 01° 14.376'N / 103° 49.763'E
3 01° 14.292'N / 103° 49.864’E
4 01° 14.264'N / 103° 49.912’E
5 01° 14.236'N / 103° 49.895’E
6 01° 14.266'N / 103° 49.845’E

The maintenance of the floating sea barriers will be carried out by crane barge assisted by tug boats. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during the repair operations.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
