Maintenance works at jetty of permanent aviation fuel facility, Tuen Mun

With immediate effect and for a period of approximately 4 months, maintenance works on the jetty will be carried out within the following two works areas:

Works Area 1:

This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent jetty:

(A) 22° 21.865’N 113° 55.540’E

(B) 22° 21.908’N 113° 55.576’E

(C) 22° 21.874’N 113° 55.621’E

(D) 22° 21.833’N 113° 55.587’E

Works Area 2:

This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (E) to (H) and the adjacent jetty:

(E) 22° 21.773’N 113° 55.664’E

(F) 22° 21.815’N 113° 55.699’E

(G) 22° 21.781’N 113° 55.745’E

(H) 22° 21.742’N 113° 55.711’E

The works will be carried out by one derrick lighter. One flat top barge and one tugboat will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 30 metres around the derrick lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the derrick lighter.

The works will be carried out from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works areas outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
