Maintenance work at Shell Single Buoy Mooring

The working period for maintenance at Shell Single Buoy Mooring has been extended until 30 June.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.32 of 2023, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily, including Sundays, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1 01°11.688’N / 103°47.156’E
2 01°11.688’N / 103°47.698’E
3 01°11.249’N / 103°47.698’E
4 01°11.249’N / 103°47.156’E

The maintenance work involves temporary removal of mooring buoy subsea hose, pile anchor installation, recovery and installation of chain, reinstallation of mooring buoy and subsea hose.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international daylight signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
