LPG jetty to open in August

The construction of the Multi-User Liquid Terminal (MULT) jetty at PUTHUVYPE in Cochin has been completed and will be opened after dredging works are completed, in August.

The new jetty will help the state achieve self-sufficiency in LPG distribution and reduce backlog in LPG refill cylinder supply and reduce road accidents.

It will be able to handle ships with a dead weight tonnage (DWT) of 10,000 to 80,000, with overall length (LOA) of 230 M and draft up to 13.00 M.
