On December 21, the port brought in MV ALTUS (arrival draft: Fwd 11.31 M, Aft 11.68 M) alongside Berth No. 4 for discharging 49465 MT Urea. Another vessel, MV STAR SKY (arrival draft: Fwd 4.50 M and Aft 6.80 M), was also accommodated for loading Barytes.
Further, the port is planning to bring in MV JAL KUMUD today, with an expected arrival draft above 13.00 M.
Dredging is progressing with 2 x Dredgers, and a dredging survey is being conducted every 12 hours.
According to port sources, all efforts are in place to pull up the stranded vessel during the highest tide available on 24 December. Six tugs are in position for this operation, with another being brought in from the nearby Gangavaram port.
Understandably, senior officials from the Adani Group have arrived at Krishnapatnam Port to assess the situation.
