Installation of sinkers off West Jurong Channel

From 3 May to 31 October, work to install sinkers will be carried out off West Jurong Channel.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.029 of 2021. The work will be conducted from 0700 to 1900 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°16·599'N / 103°39.866'E
2) 01°16·640'N / 103°39.840'E
3) 01°16·666'N / 103°39·888'E
4) 01°16·629'N / 103°39·911'E

Crane barges will be deployed with the assistance of tugboats for the installation of the sinkers. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft about the works.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
