From 3 May to 31 October, work to install sinkers will be conducted off Marine Barrage.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.026 of 2021, the works will be carried out between 0700 and 1900 daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°16·686'N / 103°52·536'E
2) 01°16·742'N / 103°52·525'E
3) 01°16·752'N / 103°52·578'E
4) 01°16·698'N / 103°52·588'E
Crane barges will be deployed with the assistance of tugboats for the installation of the sinkers. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft about the works.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
e) Communicate with East Control for assistance, if required
