Installation of moorings

Mariners are advised that on or about 17 July, the Port of London Authority will undertake the installation of two new moorings in positions to the east of the Higham Bight Anchorage.

The works will involve the installation of moorings and unlit black and yellow Admiralty class buoys. Works will be undertaken by the PLA vessel “LONDON TITAN”.

Vessels involved in the works will maintain a continuous listening watch on VHF Channel 68.

Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed. The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.

Further details will be broadcast as required by London VTS on VHF Channel 68.
