Installation of floating deck in Cruise Bay

The working period for the installation of a floating deck in Cruise Bay has been extended. The work will now be carried out from today (24 March) to 30 September.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.023 of 2022 dated 24 March 2022, the work will be conducted from 0800 to 1900 hours, Mondays to Saturdays, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01° 15.805'N / 103° 48.951'E
2) 01° 15.827'N / 103° 48.966'E
3) 01° 15.864'N / 103° 48.990'E
4) 01° 15.872'N / 103° 48.991'E
5) 01° 15.988'N / 103° 49.040'E
6) 01° 15.997'N / 103° 49.050'E
7) 01° 15.994'N / 103° 49.059'E
8) 01° 15.980'N / 103° 49.060'E
9) 01° 15.863'N / 103° 49.005'E
10) 01° 15.856'N / 103° 49.005'E
11) 01° 15.848'N / 103° 49.005'E
12) 01° 15.848'N / 103° 49.011'E
13) 01° 15.829'N / 103° 49.012'E
14) 01° 15.829'N / 103° 49.006'E
15) 01° 15.821'N / 103° 49.004'E
16) 01° 15.786'N / 103° 49.013'E

Floating deck structure will be installed with the use of crane barge supported by work boats and tug boats.

Diving operations may be carried out during the course if the installation during daylight hours only.

A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other vessels of the work.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 5 (Cruise Bay Control);
and
e) Communicate with Cruise Bay Control for assistance, if required.
