Increase of port charges & Environmental Incentive Scheme

NSW Ports have announced their intention to increase port charges by 9% at Port Kembla with effect from 1 July 2021, whilst continuing the Environmental Incentive Scheme applying to vessels calling at Port Kembla (or Port Botany).

NSW Ports introduced the Environmental Incentive Scheme to encourage higher standards of environmental performance on 1 January 2019, applying to vessel charges at Port Botany and Port Kembla. Over 700 vessels are currently registered under the scheme.

NSW Ports’ Standard Terms and Conditions (available on our website by following the link: https://www.nswports.com.au/assets/Uploads/Standard-Terms-Channel-Facilities2.pdf) apply to the owners, charterers and/or operators of vessels that access or use the channels or access, use or occupy the berths at Port Botany or Port Kembla.
