Impact of Hurricane Gaemi (Update 26 July)

Ports in Taiwan are resuming operations after Hurricane Gaemi moved away from the Taiwan Strait area last night (25 July).

  • Kaohsiung:
    Outbound operations opened from 0930 hours local time today (26 July). Due to strong wind and waves at outer sea, inbound operations remain suspended.
  • Taichung:
    Navigation operations in and out of the port resumed from 0930 hours local time today.

  • Keelung:
    In/out operations resumed at 2100 hours local time yesterday.

  • Taipei:
    In/out operations resumed at 2300 hours local time yesterday.

  • Mai-Liao:
    In/out operations resume at 100 hours local time today, but only for vessels with GRT of less than 40,000 mt.

Due to heavy rain, work and classes are still cancelled in Kaohsiung city today. Work at GAC’s Kaohsiung office is suspended but our Taipei and Taichung offices are working.
