On the occasion of Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day, a general holiday will be observed from Tuesday 21 February 2023 at 08.00am to Wednesday 22 February 2023 at 08.00am.
With the approval of the Customs Department and the Port Authority, the vessels/lighters can be operated on such holidays under special arrangements and subject to payment of additional charges as per rules. The Director (Traffic) or his subordinate officer-in-charge shall be intimated in advance for the smooth execution of commercial activities related to food, relief and other essential items.
Necessary measures will be taken including booking adequate manpower for the purpose of conducting all operational activities under the traffic department (including Pangaon ICT and Dhaka ICD) at that time.
According to the above schedule, booths of Janata Bank, One Bank and other authorized banks of Chittagong Port Authority and Sonali Bank located in the Customs House, related branches of the Customs Department and all private depots were requested to keep the necessary number of manpower open for the sake of smooth operational activities.
