A depression over west-central Bay of Bengal southeast of Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) is very likely to intensify further into a deep depression during next 12 hours.
It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and cross north Andhra Pradesh coast between Narsapur and Vishakhapatnam, close to Kakinada during the early hours of 13 October.
The Weather Department has predicted extremely heavy rainfall and rough sea conditions at northwest Bay of Bengal, southwest Bay of Bengal and along and off Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu on today and tomorrow (12 & 13 October).
