Handling vessels at Inner Harbour

With reference to handling vessels with beam 38.00 metres to and from Inner Harbour, they can be handled under the following conditions:

  1. LOA up to 240 metres (Note: max LOA berthed at VGCB and OB with 38 metres beam)
  2. Availability of Operational PPU.
  3. Availability of 2 private and one port 50 ton tugs.
  4. Can be handled only in daylight.
  5. Max permissible draft is 14.5 metres.
  6. For carrying out movements Shipyard Dolphin Jetty, HSY EQ Way, CB, BB 1, 2 & 3 to be vacant.
  7. Light vessel draft requirement forward 5.85 metres (Note: average fwd sailing draft from VGCB of vessels about 240 metres LOA) with propeller fully submerged.
  8. Will be handled only in fair weather conditions.

Further handling at 14.7 metres salt water draft vessels will be considered on a case-to-case basis, keeping in view the depth at the berth, approaches and tide available as dock water draft shall be around 14.90 metres.
