Panama Canal authorities reported earlier today (30 January) of a fire that broke out in the engine room of a container ship when maneuvering to PSA Terminal at the Pacific entrance for Canal.
As consequence of losing engines due to the fire, another vessel was affected.
Work is currently underway to clear the Panama Canal entrance channel.
No injuries have been reported so far.
