Fire at fertilizer port, no suspension of operations

A fire broke out at Igsas Fertilizer Port, next to Tupras terminal in Izmit Bay. It was completely extinguished after 30 minutes following the intense work of the fire brigade.

According to initial information from the local sources, there was no loss of life or injury.

The port authority in Izmit confirm that there is no suspension of manoeuvres or operations at the port.
