Establishment of Restricted Area & closure of landing steps off Wan Chai Basin

A Restricted Area will be established on 28 and 29 September 2023, and 2 October 2023 from 1930 hours to 2100 hours, in Victoria Harbour off the Wan Chai Basin to facilitate a drone performance in connection with the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.

The Restricted Area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22 deg. 17.142’N / 114 deg. 10.657’E
(B) 22 deg. 17.165’N / 114 deg. 10.829’E
(C) 22 deg. 17.059’N / 114 deg. 10.849’E
(D) 22 deg. 16.993’N / 114 deg. 10.679’E

Four yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid at the above co-ordinates to indicate the boundaries of the Restricted Area.

During the aforementioned periods, no vessels, other than Government launches, will be allowed to enter or remain within the Restricted Area. Besides, the public landing steps within the Restricted Area will be closed to all vessels, except Government launches engaged in official duties or vessels with the permission from the Director of Marine.
