Establishment of Restricted Area & boat parade at Lam Tsuen River

A Restricted Area will be established on 15 September 2024 (rehearsal), from 1900 hours to 2200 hours, and 21 September 2024 (event day), from 1700 hours to 2100 hours, at Lam Tsuen River to facilitate a drone performance in connection with the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of People's Republic of China celebration.

The Restricted Area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22 deg. 27.028’N / 114 deg. 10.201’E
(B) 22 deg. 27.046’N / 114 deg. 10.201’E
(C) 22 deg. 27.046’N / 114 deg. 10.305’E
(D) 22 deg. 27.028’N / 114 deg. 10.305’E

Besides, boat parade on 21 September 2024 will start at 1800 hours with 12 boats, commence from Tai Po Waterfront Pier following the coast line along the Tai Po Waterfront Park, enter the Lam Tsuen River and then turn back from Kwong Fuk Bridge at 2030 hours with the same route.

During the aforementioned periods, no vessel, other than Government launches or vessels engaged in the drone show, will be allowed to enter or remain within the restricted area. All vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the restricted area.

In the event of inclement weather or emergency, the fallback dates of the rehearsal and drone show would be 20 and 29 September 2024 respectively, and the fallback date of boat parade would be 22 September 2024.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and give a wide berth to the parade fleet and comply with any directions given by the Marine Department and Marine Police patrol launches.
