Establishment of a Restricted Area & closure of landing steps off Wan Chai Basin

A Restricted Area will be established on 15 September 2024 (rehearsal) and 17 September 2024 (event day), from 1800 hours to 2300 hours, at the waters off Wan Chai Basin to facilitate a drone performance conducted by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

The Restricted Area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22 deg. 16.993’N / 114 deg. 10.679’E
(B) 22 deg. 17.156’N / 114 deg. 10.656’E
(C) 22 deg. 17.181’N / 114 deg. 10.825’E
(D) 22 deg. 17.059’N / 114 deg. 10.849’E

During the aforementioned periods, no vessels, other than Government launches, will be allowed to enter or remain within the Restricted Area. Besides, the public landing steps within the Restricted Area will be closed to all vessels, except Government launches engaged in official duties or vessels with the permission from the Director of Marine.

In the event of inclement weather or emergency, the fallback dates of the rehearsal and event day would be 16 and 18 September 2024 respectively.
