Two vessels reported engine failure in or near the Bosphorus this morning (10 February).
A vessel transiting the Bosphorus northbound reported engine failure at around 11:30 hours local time. Its schedule was cancelled and she was directed to Bosphorus southern drifting area. Traffic in the Bosphorus was not affected and remained open.
At the same time, a Turkish general cargo vessel also reported engine failure near Ambali Port, Istanbul. A tug was sent to escort the vessel.
