Dredging works in Temasek Fairway for Tuas Terminal Phase 2

The working period for dredging works in Temasek Fairway for Tuas Terminal Phase 2 has been extended and the list of craft and working areas have been revised.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Circular No.81 of 2020 dated 27 October 2020, the work will now be conducted from 06 Nov 2020 to 05 May 2020 at Temasek Fairway, within the working area bounded by the following coordinates:

1) 01° 15·690'N / 103° 39·061'E

2) 01° 15·731'N / 103° 39·161'E

3) 01° 15·777'N / 103° 39·272'E

4) 01° 15·262'N / 103° 39·480'E

5) 01° 15·216'N / 103° 39·368'E

6) 01° 15·176'N / 103° 39·269'E

7) 01° 14·673'N / 103° 39·471'E

8) 01° 14·714'N / 103° 39·571'E

9) 01° 14·759'N / 103° 39·683'E

10) 01° 14·170'N / 103° 39·674'E

11) 01° 14·211'N / 103° 39·774'E

12) 01° 14·256'N / 103° 39·885'E

Work will be conducted 24 hours daily including Sundays and Public Holidays.

Crafts involved in the work will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

Dredging works will be carried out by grab and suction dredgers, supported by hopper barges and pusher tugs. The dredgers will be held in position by spuds within the working area. A safety boat will be in attendance to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:

a) Keep well clear of the working area;

b) Maintain a proper lookout;

c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;

d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control); and

e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
