Dredging of waterfront

Waterfront dredging work is being carried out until 18 May 2024 at 182 Pandan Loop.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.113 of 2023, the work is being conducted between 0800 and 1900 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - at sea off Pandan Loop, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

3 1°18·403'N / 103°45·239'E
4 1°18·395'N / 103°45·224'E
5 1°18·359'N / 103°45·246'E
6 1°18·379'N / 103°45·286'E

A work barge, equipped with an onboard excavator and accompanied by a tugboat, will be deployed to perform seabed dredging and load the spoils into the barge itself.

An excavator from landside will transfer all the spoils from the barge to the yard.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn and re-direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area.
b) Maintain a proper lookout.
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution.
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 18 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 18 for assistance, if required.
