Dredge operations in Sabine-Neches Channel

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company will be dredging in multiple locations from the Sabine Pass Channel to approximately 8 NM south of the jetties.

The below table provides the dredges’ names, arrival dates, and the approximate location. In addition, the Attachment to this MSIB provides an approximate location of the dredging operation. This will be a 24-hr operation which is anticipated to continue for 4 months, until approximately December 24th.

During this project, the dredge may be operating inside the ship channel limits while dredging the setback area adjacent to the channel. Mariners are advised to take caution, arrange passing ahead of time, and transit at their slowest safe speed when passing.

When dredge is operating in the channel, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company is requesting a 1-hour notification for ships and towing vessels to coordinate passing arrangements. The On-Scene Dredge may be reached on channel 13 and 16, VHF-FM.

- Arrival date: September 5th, 2024
- Location (Approximate): Sabine Bank Channel: LB 32 through LB 26
