A dragon boat racing event will take place off Tsuen Wan Waterfront Promenade from 0700 to 1900 hours on 20 August 2023 (Sunday). About 12 dragon boats are expected to participate in the race.
During the aforementioned period, a race area will be formed by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22° 22.320’N 114° 06.227’E
(B) 22° 22.296’N 114° 06.239’E
(C) 22° 22.157’N 114° 06.067’E
(D) 22° 22.179’N 114° 06.045’E
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of all vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the race area.
Besides, the landing steps of Tsuen Wan Area 2 Landing No. 1 will be temporarily closed from 0700 hours on 19 August 2023 to 1900 hours on 20 August 2023. Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing facilities in the vicinity during the period of closure.
