A dragon boat racing event will take place in New Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter on 23 April 2023 (Sunday) from 0700 to 1900 hours. About 12 dragon boats are expected to participate in the race.
During the aforementioned period, a race area will be formed by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shorelines:
(A) 22° 19.010’N /114° 09.484’E
(B) 22° 18.981’N / 114° 09.484’E
(C) 22° 18.981’N / 114° 09.311’E
(D) 22° 19.010’N / 114° 09.311’E
Masters, coxswains and person-in-charge of all vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the race area.
Besides, New Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter Landing Steps No. 5 will be temporarily closed during the event period. Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing facilities in the vicinity during the period of closure.
