Draft Adjustment in the Neopanamax Locks

Based on the present and projected level of Gatun Lake for the upcoming weeks, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) announces that effective May 24, 2023, the maximum authorized draft allowed for vessels transiting the Neopanamax locks will be 13.56 m (44.5 feet) TFW. In addition, effective May 30, 2023, the maximum authorized draft allowed for vessels transiting the Neopanamax locks will be 13.41 m (44.0 feet) TFW.

The maximum authorized drafts for the following weeks are summarized in the following table:

  • May 24, 2023
    Maximum Authorized Draft: 13.56m (44.5 feet)
  • May 30, 2023
    Maximum Authorized Draft: 13.41m (44.0 feet)

The ACP will continue to monitor the level of Gatun Lake and announce future draft adjustments in a timely manner.
