Local authorities in Sri Lanka have stepped up procedures to mitigate the spread of same in the country.
Any vessel which has called at a Chinese or South Korean port in the past 14 days and which intends to disembark crew, sea marshal or other personnel in Sri Lanka must provide their ETKT (Electronic Ticket) within just 7-8 hours from the intended time of disembarkation in order to obtain necessary permission from authorities.
Such disembarking personnel are not permitted to remain in Sri Lanka or stay in accommodation (hotel/villa) or deviate from the usual route to the airport. They must be dropped directly to the airport upon disembarking vessel for repatriation.
