Demolition of jetty

From 1 November 2022 to 31 January 2023, the Lim Chu Kang jetty will be demolished.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.071 of 2022, the work will be carried out from 0800 to 1900 hours daily - including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays - at West Johor Straits, within the area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01° 26.731'N / 103° 42.441'E
2) 01° 26.813'N / 103° 42.433'E
3) 01° 26.815'N / 103° 42.462'E
4) 01° 26.744'N / 103° 42.462'E

The demolition work will be carried out by crane barge assisted by work barges and tug boats. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
