Demolition & disposal of coal ship unloader at Lamma Power Station

For approximately two months, demolition and disposal of coal ship unloader will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent jetty:
(A) 22°12.805’N / 114°06.115’E
(B) 22°12.756’N / 114°06.117’E
(C) 22º 12.756’N / 114º 05.929’E
(D) 22°13.001’N / 114°05.929’E
(E) 22°13.001’N / 114°06.067’E

The works will be carried out by one crane barge and two dumb lighters.

One tugboat, one special purpose vessel and one work boat will provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements. Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

A working area of approximately 150 metres around the crane barge will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the vessels.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
