From 1 August 2024 to 1 February 2025, work to demolish and reinstate shipyard facilities in the vicinity North of Benoi Basin.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.66 of 2024, the work will be conducted from 08:00am to 07:00pm daily - including Sundays and Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates and the shoreline (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°18.367'N / 103°40.972'E
2) 01°18.368'N / 103°40.952'E
3) 01°18.540'N / 103°40.933'E
4) 01°18.539'N / 103°40.945'E
Construction work involves the demolition and reinstatement of marine facilities in the working area assisted by tugboats and barges.
A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.
Craft involved with the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
