Karaikal Port has also experienced consistent and excessive rainfall for the past 10 days. All port operations have been very severely affected and this constitutes a Force Majeure event.

All precautions that are operationally possible have been taken to protect the cargo available in the port in various stackyards and warehouses. However, due to the excessive and unprecedented rainfall experienced over the past 10 days, cargo sliding has taken place from the heaps stacked in the various yards. While the port will take all possible efforts to restack the cargo once the rain stops, please be advised that KPPL will not be responsible and/or liable for the quality and/or quantity of the cargo during this Force Majeure event.
