Cyclone Remal update: port operations resume

Cyclone Remal turned into a cyclonic storm yesterday (27 May) and intensified into a deep depression by this morning, which is expected to develop into a normal low-pressure system.

Meteorologists have warned that heavy rainfall and strong winds would continue for few more days.

At Haldia, vessel movements and cargo operations have resumed.

At Kolkata Port, vessel movements have also restarted at Diamond Harbour Anchorage & Sagar Anchorage.
