The Management of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), the terminals Colombo International Container Terminals Ltd (CICT) and South Asia Gateway Terminals (Pvt) Ltd (SAGT) together with shipping agents have assured global principals of container and conventional services of uninterrupted operations at normal and expected levels in the Port of Colombo amidst the crisis situation in the country, which is receiving attention at the highest level of Government of Sri Lanka with the appointment of a new Prime Minister.
Crew changes are taking place with no interruption whatsoever and have been for the past couple of months, despite the economic crisis situation unfolding during this period.
Principals, ship owners, manning and management companies are assured of the consistent level of service they have been accustomed to in the past from ports in Sri Lanka such as Colombo, Galle, Trincomalee, Hambantota ably coordinated by our member companies, i.e. shipping agents.
