Every vessel calling at Nigerian Seaports from Covid-19 affected countries (France, Italy, Spain, Germany, UK, USA, China, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, South Korea, Australia, Turkey, Iran, Austria, Portugal, etc) will only be allowed into Nigerian Seaports when Port Health Service has established that the vessel was continuously sailing for a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to arrival.
A vessel calling at a Nigerian Seaport from Covid-19 affected country and was at sea for only ten (10) days is expected to remain outside bar for four (4) days to complete fourteen (14) days before applying for Health Clearance from the Port Health Service.
A vessel that was continuously sailing from her port of departure for fourteen (14) days but called at a port in West Coast Country before arriving Nigerian Seaport will apply for Health Clearance from the Port Health Service in Nigeria on arrival.
A vessel that arrived West Coast Country and did crew changes is expected to report the same to the Port Control on arrival in Nigerian waters. The Ship’s Agent is expected to inform the Port Health Service of the crew changed before applying for the Health Clearance.
