COVID-19 measures at ports

At French ports, in case of a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 as per Maritime Declaration of Health done by master prior vessel’s arrival, following ARS instructions in accordance with the Harbour Master. Unless stated otherwise, there is currently no curfew or quarantine.

The latest updated status of ports in France is as follows:

Bayonne
Check 10 last port and crew members nationality. If any problems (ARS/DML will take decisions).
Crew members must stay on board during the call.
Cruise vessels/ferries carrying more than 100 passengers not authorised until 15 April.

Bordeaux
Crew members to remain on board during the call (except for security & safety needs linked to vessel's activity).
In case of suspected or confirmed case as per Maritime Declaration of Health done by Master prior to vessel’s arrival, await ARS & CCMM instructions.
Cruise vessels/ferries carrying more than 100 passengers not authorised until 15 April.
Crew must stay on board at all times during the call.

Brest
Visits to vessels reduced to minimum. Seamen's Club closed until further notice.
Cruise vessels/ferries carrying more than 100 passengers not authorised until 15 April.
Crew changes not possible for any crew nationality. Crew must stay on board at all times during the call.
Stevedores working only in normal hours 0800-1200 & 1400 - 1800 except for containers ships.

Calais
Cruise vessels/ferries carrying more than 100 passengers not authorised until 15 April.
Crew change no longer possible for extra Schengen nationalities.

Corse
Cruise vessels/ferries carrying more than 100 passengers not authorised until 15 April.

Dunkirk
Pilotage service only from "Dyck zone" / no more (dis)embarking from E12 or roads.
Personnel of Rubis terminal will not board vessels.
Crew change no longer possible for extra Schengen nationalities.
Crew must stay on board during the call and avoid crew change.
Limit as much as possible boarding of shore personnel.
Temperature check, if possible, for of all boarding personnel (crew, shore staff, etc.).

Fos / Martigue / Lavera / Marseille
Vessels not authorised to stay at anchorage between 0001 and 0700 hours local time.
Pilotage services not available between 2300 & 0500 hours local time. Not possible to serve more than 8 ships in Marseille and 4 in Fos simultaneously.
Strict precautionary measures at Lyondellbasell, Petroineos and Fluxel terminals.
Marseille: Crew members to stay on board at all times.
Fos Cavaou - Tonkin: Access on board reduced to minimum.

La Rochelle / Pallice
In case of Maritime Declaration of Health done by master prior vessel’s arrival positive vessel will remain at anchorage, awaiting ARS instructions.

No more crew change accepted.
Deliveries reduced to minimum.
Mooring men will not perform any crew change on roads with their launch.

Le Havre
Boatmen launch service suspended.
Alkion terminal: no more deliveries authorised except for food.
CIM terminal accepts only 2 vessels simultaneously.

Lorient
"Coronavirus" local questionnaire and Maritime Declaration of Health done by master prior vessel’s arrival.
Crew members must stay on board during the call.
From 17 March, stevedores and crane drivers only working on AM shifts (06h00-13h00).
Cruise vessels/ferries carrying more than 100 passengers not authorised until 15 April.

Montoir /Donges/Saint Nazaire/Nantes
Further to Maritime Declaration of Health done by master prior vessel’s arrival, vessels will be questioned further by VHF before berthing - Loire port control will request if any sick crew on board.
Crew change only possible for EU/Schengen/UK natonalities.
Cruise vessels/ferries carrying more than 100 passengers not authorised until 15 April.
Donges Terminal: contacts reduced to minimum, personnel to wear masks/gloves and documentation will be exchanged via a watertight bag.
Nantes airport is closed. Crew changes are impacted.

Nice / Toulon
Cruise vessels/ferries not authorised at Nice.
Maximum 100 passengers per ferry authorised at Toulon.

Rouen / Port Jerome / Honfleur
Cruise vessels/ferries carrying more than 100 passengers not authorised until 15 April.
SEAtank Terminal Loading Master not boarding vessels anymore.
Rubis Terminal personnel boards vessels but stay on deck. All documentation done ashore.
Crew change forbidden at Rouen.

Saint Malo
Cruise vessels/ferries carrying more than 100 passengers not authorised until 15 April.
From 20 March, pilot serving vessels only one at a time.

Sete
Dry bulk cargoes operations performed 0600-2100 hours local time. Liquid cargoes working normally.

Crew must stay on board at all times during the call.
