Convoys resuming in Suez Canal

Convoys arranged by the Suez Canal Authority today (7 August) are as follows:

Southbound convoy will start at 1430 hrs local time (29 ships).

Northbound convoy (35 ships) will commence with 24 ships entering the canal at 1030 hrs local time and will wait at Great Better Lakes. The remaining 11 ships will start entering the canal at 1800 hrs local time today.

The first ships in both convoys will start to exit the canal at both ends around 0100 hrs local time tomorrow (8 August) with all convoys expected to clear the canal between 0400 hrs to 0600 hrs local time (8 August). The SCA is working to minimise delays to convoys entering on 8 August and beyond.
