The following measures remain in place until further notice:
- The Port’s public counters will be closed until further notice.
- All communications with the Port must be either by phone or email.
- The procedure for Port Clearance Letters remains in place except that the hard copy of this document will be held by the Port with a scanned copy being provide instead until further notice.
- The procedure for Practique Notes remains in place except that the hard copy of the document will be held by the Port with a scanned copy being provide instead until further notice.
- All commercial STS operations have been suspended until further notice.
- Bunker barge inspections by our Bunkering Superintendents will be considered on a case by case basis, and will be subject to precautionary measures being complied with. Operators requiring such an inspection are to contact Port Authorities for further details on the protocol.
- All port licence renewals will be handled electronically – all renewal documentation to be submitted by email and scanned copies of certificates will be issued with hard copy being held by the Port Authority until further notice.
- All cruise calls have been cancelled until further notice. Cruise Liners intending to carry out a technical call will be subject to approval on a case by case basis. Agents must provide full information of scope of requirements for the technical call, as these will determine whether the call is allowed. Notification with suitable notice will need to be provided to Port Authority so that a decision can be made.
- Lubricants supplies to vessels will continue to be allowed subject to limitations on the human interface between discharging vessel and receiving vessel.
- Waste collection from vessels will continue to be allowed subject to limitations on the human interface between discharging vessel and receiving vessel.
- Delivery of stores, provisions, spare parts and other consignments will continue to be allowed subject to limitations on the human interface between discharging vessel and receiving vessel.
- Underwater works (such as hull cleaning, in water surveys, etc.) will continue to be allowed subject to limitations on the human interface between discharging vessel and receiving vessel.
- Crew changes will be allowed subject to compliance with GPA crew change protocol.
Measures 9-12 above refer to limitations on the human interface. For the sake of clarification, this requires that servicing personnel do not board the vessel being serviced. Similarly, personnel from the vessel are not to board the service provider vessels.
