From 15 December 2022 to 14 May 2023, construction works will be conducted north of Changi Sailing Club, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1 01° 23.775'N / 103° 58.734'E
2 01° 23.620'N / 103° 58.734'E
3 01° 23.620'N / 103° 58.800’E
4 01° 23.573'N / 103° 58.800’E
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.082 of 2022, the working hours will be 0800-1900 hours daily excluding Sundays and Public Holidays.
Pilling works will be carried out by the crane barge and the floating pontoons will be connected to the piles.
Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during the dredging operations.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
